About SPADO

The South Philadelphia Association of Dog Owners (SPADO) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the maintenance and growth of the dog park at Columbus Square. We are a group devoted to creating a safe and healthy environment for dogs and owners to exercise, fraternize, and build community through civic engagement.

Dog Park Guidelines

Keep your community and your best friends clean, active, and safe by following these guidelines.

Clean Up After Your Dog

There are poop bags and watering cans available for clean-up!

Pay Attention

It’s important to always know where your dog is and what they are doing. Remember that your dog, is your responsibility.

Dogs 25+lbs Not Permitted on Small Side

Because there are some small dogs that do not react well to larger dogs, the small dog side has a maximum weight limit of 25lbs.

No Kids / No Food

Please no children in the dog park due to safety reasons. No food is permitted within the dog park for the safety of the dogs.

Dog Park Cleanings

For the health and safety of your pups, and to create a pleasant environment for humans, SPADO aims to clean the dog park on a regular basis. During the cleaning, both sides of the dog park will be closed. Please check back for the calendar of events to the left to see when the next cleaning may be!
